7-17-12 weedy brain

I've been away from home a lot this month.... so when I came back recently I was surprised that the stray corn in my garden actually had an ear of corn growing on it!

Of course the WEEDS have been growing too- guess they don't need rain  :(

These nasty vines are taking over everything! I think I need  to find a roommate that likes to garden!!

My temporary solution.... I am hiring my neighbor Amy, who is out of work, and loves to garden. I can trust her, since I to admire her garden down the street. I feel a bit guilty about it, but it's really a win-win. She needs the money..... I have money, but I don't have time to weed. PS: No the rain did not hit Des Moines on Saturday.
