Over abundance

6-16-10 grateful brain
My neighbor friend, “peace sister” Carolyn must have ESP. She seems to always know the perfect time to show up at my front door. Sunday noon, Carolyn stopped by with some food for me, I think maybe she knew from my Facebook post that I was up late Saturday night and didn’t get out of bed until 11:00 AM.

Thanks for the delicious enchiladas Carolyn. This was a good “lunch” for me about 3:30PM, which gave me enough strength to mow the yard late afternoon, in between rain showers. Des Moines has had at least 5 inches of rain in the last week…. Which has given me back a damp laundry room in the basement, and a garden that is growing out of control. June the garden goes through the “yellow phase”… in July it turns to oranges.

This would be a good time to pull weeds, but now I fear I will be eaten alive by the mosquito crop which has been growing strong with all this rain.

  1. I think we've had about the same amount of rain and the mosquitoes are horrible, even in the daytime. But now we haven't had any rain in about five days and the ground is already getting cracked and dry. Life comes at you fast!
